Colored Contact Lenses - Get New Eye Colour!

Color contact lenses are my favorite. I've tried many colors from different brands. I did discover that, while certain colored contacts are very appealing to my eyes, some look fake or horrendous. After much trial and error, I finally figured out how to choose the best color lenses for your eyes.

It is important to understand that color contacts can come in two forms: opaque lenses or enhancement color contacts. Enhancements colors lenses change the color of your eyes or make them look brighter and more sparkly. These lenses are not suitable for people with dark eyes, such as blue, green, gray, or light brown. These lenses appear natural looking because they are partially transparent.

Optically, however, you can change the color of your eyes completely. These lenses do not have transparency, which is why they are best for people with dark eyes. If your natural color is brown and you want sky blue eyes, you will need opaque color contacts, enhancements won't do the job for you. People with light eyes can wear both types of lenses, depending on the effect they want.

Color contacts for subtle changes

If you have naturally blue eyes, aqua or blue color contacts will work wonders for you. It may seem strange that someone with blue eyes would need colored lenses. Because blue enhancement lenses can make a great difference in your appearance. Your eyes will still be blue but they will look brighter and catch more attention. My eyes are blue, and I love wearing contacts with blue tints. My favorite Acuvue 2 color is "Ocean Blue".

Also, blue tints work well for naturally gray eyes. The color appears not as intensive blue as over blue eyes, more a blue-grey, but it looks very natural and attractive. Acuvue Colors and Freshlook Dimensions are the best choices.

Green color contacts look excellent over blue or lens town grey eyes. The change is quite noticeable as jade green is mixed with your natural color.

And to add sparkling to your eyes you can try Freshlook Radiance color contacts. Eden is my favorite (for blue and grey eyes). The contrast between autumn and spring colors is striking with hazel eyes.

Color contact lens for dramatic changes

Optically tinted lenses will make brown eyes appear dramatically different. Acuvue Colors Opaque, Freshlook Colorblends, and Illusions by Ciba Vision are all good options.

Freshlook Colorblends Sapphire and Amethyst are the best colors for dark-eyed women. It will be dramatic and no one will notice the difference.

Honey color contacts may be the best option for you if your eyes are blue or grey. These lenses will make you appear more warm. You can further enhance the effect by wearing natural colors with a warm lipstick.

Color contact lens safety

If you already wear contact lenses to improve your eye sight, you know how to put them in and how to care for them properly. You don't need to use contact lenses for cosmetic purposes. Ask your doctor.

Most important rule is that color contact lenses block oxygen supply to your eyes more then clear prescription contacts. Actually, the color portion doesn't allow oxygen through. It is important to avoid wearing color lenses longer than 6-8 hours a days for your eyes health. They should not be worn while you sleep.

A pair of color contacts lenses is a great gift idea. Beautiful, sparkling eyes can make a woman look better. You can also change your look by wearing different colored lenses.
